One year ago, in early May 2023, it took place in Trapani “landing” by Valerio Antonini, who arrived in the city like a wealthy alien to conquer sport, and not only. Antonini, an international grain and raw materials broker, at the suggestion of his partner, from Trapani, invested a lot of money in the purchase of Trapani Calcio and Trapani Basket (renaming the team “Shark”). The ambitions are very high: to bring the two teams to the highest levels in a short time.
And while theBasketball is preparing to experience the final phase of the season for promotionalmost obvious, in the top flight, Trapani Calcio is back among the professionals, and yesterday there was the ceremony at the Provincial Stadium on the occasion of the last championship match. Antonini announces further investments to “aim straight for Serie B”. And he says: “We are choosing important players. We are waiting for the regulations to formalize them. We will have a very strong team, which will immediately aim to win with a significant budget. I’m not afraid of anyone.” Furthermore, in the summer he will carry out work on the Stadium (which belongs to the former Province) to bring it to 11 thousand seats and wants a brand new stadium by 2027 “if not in Serie A we can’t have the 30/40 million euros a year that we need.” Clear.
The anniversary of the first anniversary of the Antonini era in Trapani was celebrated with tones “slightly” self-referentialfrom Telesud with a video complete with Radtzeky march in the background, stuff that would make the New Year’s Eve concert pale in comparison.
Antonini, after basketball and football, bought the Telesud broadcasterannouncing investments there too and great successes in sight, he also devoted himself to catering and purchased several properties. In the meantime, Antonini continues to move his companies. In a note, he announced that he had moved his business from London to Dublin, (after having moved his residence to Italy in 2023), talks about the need to “rejoin the EC” (in reality the EC has not existed for years, we imagine that the reference is to the EU …), to reduce costs and improve margins. He left the place of “director” of Quanton Commodities Ltd. It says it closed the 2023 financial statements with over 300 million euros in turnover and over 2 million euros in net profit (in fact, last February he told Tp24 that the budget had yet to be presented). He has now assumed the role of director in Q Trade House Ltd which – the note continues – “will continue to deal with the distribution of Grains and Soft Commodities in the world and will launch a new Global Coffee Brand, through the company Q Caffe e Cacao Ltd 100% controlled by Q Trade House Ltd, taking advantage of important origination contracts in Africa and South America, with the opening of the first Coffee Shops in various European cities by the end of 2024”. Q Trade House Ltd, by purchasing the Q logo from Quanton Commodities Ltd, will take over from next season as one of the main sponsors of both Trapani Shark and Fc Trapani 1905.
