PESARO «Vuelle in Serie A2 will continue to play at the Vitrifrigo Arena, the capacity of the Scavolini Auditorium is not sufficient», says the president of Aspes Luca Pieri. «House Vuelle? Nothing changes”, underlines the president Luciano Amadori. On the day after the relegation to the A2 series of the Carpegna Ham Basket Pesaro opens up the questions and scenarios linked to the sports facilities and structures that revolve around the city’s red and white team. First of all, where Vuelle will play its home games next year with a presumable reduction in the number of spectators. For Luca Pieri, president of Aspes Spa, a subsidiary of the Municipality that manages both the Vitrifrigo Arena and the new Scavolini Auditorium, there will be no particular news from this point of view.

The burden

«This relegation weighs on everyone – says Pieri – as a fan I feel great regret for how things went, but now the hope is that the club has the ability to relaunch itself immediately, looking forward and seeking a sporting and company that allows the team to return to the top levels of the Italian basketball championship as soon as possible.” And what about the Vuelle house in A2? «I believe that there will be no changes – replies president Aspes – Vuelle will continue to play inside the Vitrifrigo Arena. There are no conditions to move the team to the Scavolini Auditorium, inside which there are too few seats for spectators for Vuelle in the A2 series, even looking at the history of the team in the minor series considering the number of fans and spectators. Together with the corporate structure that will be outlined we will plan for the home matches of the red and white team always inside the spaceship in the next championship”.

The VL plan

The other front is that of Casa Vuelle, a project that involves the completion of the Pentathlon swimming pool. «Nothing will change, the plan continues», says the president of Casa Vuelle Luciano Amadori, who then adds: «We apologize to all the fans for the mistakes made this season, taking into consideration that the mistakes are made by those who have the responsibility of having to decide and without forgetting what has been done in recent years – continues the former President of the Consortium – not so much for sporting results, but for what has been done to consolidate this company, of which we must be proud. Clearly we will start again trying to do the best possible, hasty decisions never lead to something new. This is the moment to stop, reflect, think about the mistakes made and then start again stronger than before to give these fans a team worthy of its history.” However, the future of Casa Vuelle remains dependent on finding the funds, around 2.5 million, to complete the structure in via Togliatti. The sports complex is at 60% of its potential and must be completed with offices, gyms, services, physiotherapy centre, bar and work is needed for the raised part, for the gyms and for the external part. Meanwhile, as we were able to verify yesterday morning, work continues on the Federal Basketball Centre, next door, financed with 4.4 million euros (including the integration of the Foi) from the Pnrr, which involves the construction of a multipurpose covered structure to be used as a training field or for competitive basketball, with stands and changing rooms.
