Pescara. The inaugural stage of the second edition of the national roadshow of the Silver Economy Network, the first Italian Confindustria network of companies and associations offering products and services dedicated to the Over 55s. The event is part of a project created to promote dialogue on the present and future of longevity between companies and institutions of different territories to guide the development of a system that can support the socio-economic implications economical. The Silver Economy represents, in fact, a strategic supply chain for Italy, with a percentage of Over 55s destined to reach 46.9% of the total population in 2050, with a greater growth in the incidence in the Southern Regions where this value, again in 2050, it will rise to 49.2% from 37.3% in 2022 (“Longevity Scenario, 2023 Report”, Silver Economy Network Observatory).
Thanks to the collaboration with the health section of Confindustria Abruzzo Medio Adriatico, the Silver Economy Network will address the issues of technological integration and territorial assistance for health, inclusion and protection of fragility. An afternoon dedicated to a dialogue on longevity and networking between companies in the Italian territory, with speakers such as Nicoletta VerìCouncilor for Health and Equal Opportunities of the Abruzzo Region, Pierluigi Cosenzadirector of the regional health agency, Thomas Schaelmanager of the Lanciano Vasto Chieti healthcare company, Antonio Monteferrante, president of the health section of Confindustria Abruzzo Medio Adriatico, who will be involved in the round table “Technological integration and territorial assistance”. Furthermore, analyzes from the business world with Mauro Menziettiadministrator of the Maico Hearing Institute, president of the National Association of Hearing Aid Prosthetists (ANA) and representative for Italy in the WHS WHO Steering Committee, and Davide PresuttiCEO of Neosperience Health.
