A film set transported into reality. What happened in the early afternoon of Monday 6 May, in Sienese section of the Autopalio, between the Monteriggioni and Badesse junctions. A chase carried out by the Poggibonsi carabinieri and traffic police, who managed to block a white SUV. Three men on board, who they would have committed a scam before taking the Siena-Florence road and fleeing.
The police, after stopping the car, made the occupants get out, then giving the order to lie down on the asphalt. A joint operation that required a considerable effort of men and vehicles and also a “sacrifice” on the part of motorists.
The surgery caused traffic disruptions and several queues they were formed in both directions. At least two police cars moved against traffic to stop the escape. According to what was reported by the Facebook group “Quelli dell’Autopalio”, the operators “from Anas told the bus driver that if someone knocks to get on, since we are in the queue, he must not let anyone on”.
