The municipal administration of Reggio Calabria present in the “Cosimo Giuseppe Fazio” classroom of the Student School Carabinierifor the awards ceremony of scholarships of the association of the same name, established by his son Antonino after the death of his father.
The goal is to spread the sense of legality and of the duty to the students of the institutes of the province of Reggio. For this reason the project entitled was promoted “Let’s rediscover values”which involved approx 800 students of Anoia, Melicucco, Bagnara, Gioia Tauro, Cinquefrondi, Giffone, Locri and Reggio Calabria.
The prize provided for the establishment of Three scholarships worth 500 Euros, paid to the winning student’s educational institution. In particular, it was decided to donate the prize money to schools and not to the individual student so that it can be useful to everyone.
It was given to the students the certificate of participation. The winners received a commemorative plate in memory of the event.
In particular, the mayor will also reward the winners Giuseppe Falcomatà who, in his speech, announced that “The time is ripe for the memory and values of Colonel Fazio can be further remembered by finding a space in the toponymy of Reggio, so that also the future generations know how to know and appreciate the figure of a servant of the State that they have lost his life in the exercise of his duty”.
