Bergamo. Bipartisan visit by some city councilors on Monday afternoon to the ChorusLife construction site, between Bianzana and Serassi streets: a technical inspection, this afternoon’s, requested by the president of the City Council Ferruccio Rota and by the councilor for urban redevelopment Francesco Valesini and coordinated by the technicians and officials of Chorus Life and Costim (subsidiaries of the Polifin group).
During the technical inspection the councilors were able to ascertain the progress of the works of one of the main urban redevelopment interventions of the city in recent decades, an intervention which, with the impressive urbanization works carried out by the private sector – such as the overpass of the roundabout of the Valli , opened last summer, and the city’s future sports hall – will bring significant impacts to the area.
During the visit, particular attention was obviously paid to the large multifunctional Arena (mainly entertainment, but also usable for large sporting events) with up to 6,500 seats (at maximum capacity), in which work is underway to open the structure to the public by year.
The important urban regeneration operation redevelops the former Ote industrial area in the Borgo Santa Caterina area into an innovative “smart district” of 70,000 m2, including 74 residences, a hotel with 107 rooms, 9,000 m2 of public greenery, commercial spaces, areas dedicated to catering, an urban SPA and a system of squares for public use and open to all.
