Catanzaro, Our Lady of Montserrat celebrated in Barcelona

In recent days the Archconfraternity of the SS. John the Baptist and Evangelist of the honorary Knights of Malta of Catanzaro celebrated with his brothers who have been part of the Barcelona delegation for over thirty years, the Madonna of Montserrat, protectress of Catalonia.

During a solemn ceremony, celebrated in the Marian Sanctuary, in which the Vicar General of our Archdiocese took part, Don Salvino Cognetti representing our Archbishop Monsignor Claudio Maniagothe new brothers and among them the Cardinal were admitted into our Archconfraternity Omella Juan Jose, Metropolitan Archbishop of Barcelona and Abbot of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Monteserrat Dom Manel Gasch i Hurios. The Prior of the Archconfraternity Luigi Vincenzo Merante Critelli on behalf of all the brothers of Catanzaro he thanked the two prelates for the high honor granted to the Society with their request for admission to the Archconfraternity and also congratulated the President of the Barcelona delegation, D. Florencio Serrano Prior for the excellent work carried out for the spiritual formation of the confreres and for the promotion of numerous social activities in favor of the new poor carried out by the confreres of Barcelona.
