The Aprilian Farmers’ Committee expresses profound disappointment and disappointment at the decision of the Principi majority to reject the amendment proposed in the council approving the new Tari regulation, which provided for exemption from the payment of Tari for agricultural sheds in accordance with the law. This choice represents a real betrayal of the local agricultural sector and demonstrates a total lack of consideration for the needs of Aprilian farmers, who already face numerous difficulties in their daily work. Even more worrying is the fact that the administration has recanted on all the things said in the various meetings, including the ad hoc commission established to address the problems of the agricultural sector. This attitude demonstrates a lack of transparency and a total absence of coherence between words and deeds. Despite the reassurances of the agriculture councilor and some majority councilors who had assured of embracing the farmers’ cause, the final decision demonstrates a total disinterest in the well-being of the agricultural community and a failure to respect the commitments made. The mayor and the majority councilors must take responsibility for this unjust and harmful decision, which puts the economic sustainability of agricultural companies in our area at risk. It is imperative that they retrace their steps and take concrete measures to support and promote the local agricultural sector, as required by law and as required by the needs of our community. The Aprilian Farmers’ Committee will continue to fight with determination to defend the interests of farmers and to guarantee a sustainable future for agriculture in our territory.
