“I represented the Council at the Marsala Palasport where the awards ceremony for the Under 17 handball Final Four was underway” said councilor Salvatore Agate who, contacted by the TP24 editorial team, explains the reasons for his car found parked in front of the structure , with the writing “Ass. Agate” on the dashboard in a sheet with the Municipality’s letterhead.
Councilor Salvatore Agate explains that yesterday, Sunday 5 May, he was there for reasons inherent to his role, and he used his own car, rather than that of the Municipality, so as not to disturb the driver on Sunday. He parked with other cars, entering his name on the sheet, in case there was a need to move it.
“If it had been necessary to move it – he says – the civil protection operators on duty at the building would have called on the microphone. I would add that the use of my car for service reasons saved the Municipality money on fuel, road risks and overtime drivers”.
