The last game of the season recorded a sold outfor a Palaverde colored in white and blue to support the team for the SerieA mission.
Coach Frank Vitucci fields an unusual starting quintet with Robinson, Bowman, Harrison and Paulicap; De Raffaele answers with Ross, Candi, Obasohan, Strautins and Thomas.
The first basket is a triple D’Angelo HarrisonStrautins gets into the rhythm for the first two but Palaverde holds its breath due to the injury of Pauly Paulicapforced to leave the field after 1’50” (he will never return). Bowman he lights up the rockets and hits an overhead kick but Colbey Ross also joins the match to make it 5-4. Ky again and Dee again and it’s +5; Tortona equalizes at 11 halfway through the first quarter, but it’s still a wild Bowman who relaunches TVB who goes up 15-11 with Allen. The Martian finds his sixth personal point and Harrison gives the maximum advantage (+7) before another incursion by Ross. Baldasso brings Bertram closer with the triple, but Treviso turns the ball well and Zanelli, caught great by Olisevicius, supports from close range. Weems and Dowe flex their muscles, but Robinson and Harrison respond blow for blow. Radosevic’s support makes it 29-26, coach Vitucci decides to stop the match. Dee hits again from behind the arc for his 14th personal point and above all the +9 TVB with 3′ to play in the first half. Harrison is “on fire“, another triple and Palaverde explodes for 46-34. The match turns into a battle, Nutribullet saves itself a couple of times and extends with Mezzanotte from the line. Dowe interrupts the Biancocelesti’s run, but Justin Robinson scores the team’s eighth triple, canceled out by Weems’ one. The last basket is right at the siren and it’s another 3 point (9/18 at half), this time by Osi Olisevicius for the 53-39 at the end of the first half.
Olisevicius starts again in a great way with the basket and foul, Allen with 2/2 on free throws but Bertram is in the game and with Weems and Ross he returns to 57-48: Vitucci asks for a minute. Olisevicius he gets back to work and reaches 10. Ross responds from the line but comes back to make himself heard Ky Bowman who first scores a 3 and then serves the assist to Olisevicius: 64-50! Radosevic hits from afar, but the response is punctual and comes from D’Angelo Harrison (66-53). Dowe puts 4 in a row, but “Osi” and Terry find the right countermeasures and it’s still +15 with 1’50” to go until the last break. The last points are scored by Obasohan from the line: the third period ends 72-59.
Nutribullet starts with a great move that sends Olisevicius to the line: the Lithuanian scores 1/2 so Colbey Ross’s magic is worth -12. Baldasso scores a triple to make it 73-64 and then it’s Harrison’s turn again to take charge of the team and bring TVB back to +11. Tiredness makes itself felt: Colbey Ross tries but Ky Bowman restarts the engines to fly to the basket and D’Angelo Harrison, with the fifth triple of his game, makes TVB escape on +14.
