During the night between Saturday and Sunday in Venice, an English woman was brutally beaten by her partner, also English.
The victim was hospitalized due to head injuries and is currently in serious condition, although his life is not in danger.
The couple was in the San Giacomo dall’Orio area, in the heart of the historic center, after spending the evening in the city’s clubs. For reasons still under investigation by the Carabinieri, the man, a thirty-five-year-old presumably drunk, violently attacked her partner several times, causing a head injury that made her fall to the ground.
The inhabitants of the area, hearing her cries for help, intervened to defend her and promptly called the emergency number 112.
The Carabinieri of the boat unit and the medical staff of Suem 118 intervened immediately.
The thirty-five-year-old has currently been reported for assault. The military is waiting for the woman’s recovery to understand if she wishes to file a complaint.
