Double salvation in B/2 and in series D for Volleyball Grosseto – Grosseto Sport

The joy in the Grosseto Volleyball house is tinged with pink with the girls of B2 Luca Consani of Rossano Rossi and those of Giorgio Peri and Carmania of Francesco Alpini and Elisabetta Alberti who close the practical salvation on the same day.

The objectives at the beginning of the season were perfectly achieved, with the maintenance of the national championship of series B2 and the regional championship of series D. Two identical results on the one hand but diametrically opposed in how they materialized.

For B2 Luca Consani, what should have been a simpler group than the Tuscan one, turned out to be an absurd group, salvation at 36 points with 12 victories. In none of the other ten national groups was this level of survival achieved. Serie D, on the other hand, had a championship with two faces: starting at 1000, well beyond the expectations which made it sail in the top parts of the table for many weeks, then found themselves facing a deep crisis in the second round with eight consecutive defeats. But Pino, Betta and all the girls were good at reversing the trend and deservedly staying in the category. The Grosseto club is aware that in the near future there will be things to improve in order to continue to grow the entire movement and raise the bar even further.

The policy will and will remain that of continuing to invest in the youth sector and giving opportunities to all girls.

This year too, for long stretches coach Rossano Rossi has fielded over half an under 16 team like Sofia Luschi, born in 2008, who in fact earned her starting place after the premature abandonment of captain Laura Santerini. The 2007 Matilde Bronchini literally catapulted onto the pitch in the crucial role of libero who covered it with honor without too many awe, and again as a libero a “2010” was made to debut, Clara Balestri, one of the few under 14s in Italy to have played a match as a starter, in this category. Another “2007”, she was ready in the crucial moments of the season like Lucrezia Bertelli, up to the talented Sara Gambelli, another “2007”. The “Greatest” of the young people is the versatile “2006” Sara D’Erasmo, employed in multiple roles. The club expects much more from her in the coming seasons. To the group of unders must be added together with the new captain Lavinia Poggetto, Annalisa Milani, Ilenia and Asia Calza, Ilaria Fallani, Giulia Corridori, Francesca Bacci, Sara Biagioli, Asia Massari and the aforementioned Laura Santerini

President Riccardo Tinacci is already at work and from next week he and his staff will begin planning the new season, trying to go one step higher if possible.
