The “Migrantes” diocesan center is launching the “People’s Festival” again this year. It is a cultural-folkloric event that now boasts decades of life in Reggio Calabria, taking advantage of different areas of the city, such as Piazza Duomo, Via Marina, the municipal villa and, in recent years, Piazza Mezzacapo, better known as Piazza Sant’ Augustine.

The ethnic communities, which represent some peoples present in the territory of this city, intend to express through music, song and dance their desire to liberate and give peace to all: peace between us; peace in our homes and families; peace in this city and in the Italian nation; peace throughout the world.
