The coordination of the Rhodense committees, consisting of the Cerchiate and Pero Health and Public Health Committee, the Novate Milanese Health and Wellbeing Committee, the establishment of the Cornaredo Citizens’ Health and Public Health Committee, the Rhodense Health and Healthcare Oxservatory and the Rho Health Desk, organizes a protest for Wednesday morning in front of the Rho hospital in Corso Europa on the occasion of the Conference of Mayors of Rhodes.
I supervise committees
The Committees’ requests are known. The unit wants to highlight and denounce “the inadequate situation in which local medicine finds itself, the shortage of general practitioners and paediatricians, the long waiting lists for visits and tests which force the use of private services, forcing many to give up treatment”. The objective is to urge “the activation of Community Houses equipped with the necessary services and resources: currently lacking personnel and suitable equipment to respond to the expectations of the community medicine project; the urgent demand for the construction plan of the two Community Houses of Pero and Buccinasco, which had been excluded from PNRR funding and not yet financed by the Region, as had been promised”.
“More incisive mayors”
The event will be held on the occasion of the Conference of Mayors of Rhodense. The garrison asks the first representatives of the local communities “that their action become incisive and determined”.
“Without the mayors’ assumption of responsibility and their commitment to defending the health of citizens, the difficulties, in particular of the weakest groups, will hardly be able to be overcome: today those who can pay are treated, but those who cannot are forced to give up to do so we therefore ask all the mayors to support, in comparison with ASST and ATS, our request to have a public territorial health system that responds to the needs of all citizens”.
Those joining are the Cerchiate and Pero Health and Public Health Committee, the Novate Milanese Health and Wellbeing Committee, the Cornaredo Citizens’ Health and Public Health Committee being established, the Rhodense Health and Health Oxservatory, and the Rho Health Desk.
