When the financial police entered the bed and breakfast for a routine inspection, he surprised them in full activity: they, two women without regular employment contracts, were busy cleaning the rooms, carrying out activities completely illegally. Same thing in another check, this time in a shop whose clerk appeared to have never been formally hired.
The checks were conducted by the soldiers of the Grosseto provincial command. As for the two workers found to be illegal in the B&B, what was missing were the required communications regarding the hiring. Ditto for retail sales: the financiers, after checking the electronic storage of the fees, found that the clerk who had assisted them had never been formally hired.
In both cases, administrative sanctions were applied for irregular work: ranging from 1,950 to 11,700 euros for each illegal worker employed for less than a month. The B&B was notified of the suspension of activity, which could only be avoided by immediately hiring the two irregular workers and paying a further fine of 2,500 euros.
