He disappears from Abruzzo and reappears in Campania, the woman changes her story: “No kidnapping, I wanted to kill myself”

The woman who disappeared from Torino di Sangro and was found in the province of Caserta was questioned for eight hours. First the version about the kidnapping, then the admission: “I wanted to kill myself.”

She showed up in a bar in Castel Volturno, in the province of Caserta, wet and with abrasions, asking to be able to call her children. Thus ended last Saturday the search for Milena Santirocco, the dance teacher from Lanciano whose traces had been lost two Sundays ago. Her car was found in Torino di Sangro and the search began. The days passed, but there was no trace of the lady, so much so that we began to think of the worst. Finally, on Saturday evening, the sudden reappearance in the Castel Volturno bar. The woman told the bartender and subsequently the investigators that she had been kidnapped by two hooded men, who then also attempted to kill her by drowning her in a pond. By pretending to be dead, she had managed to escape. Finally – as reported by Il Messaggero – her confession: the woman had indeed risked drowning, but by her own hand. Investigations continue to verify the case. Meanwhile the woman has returned home, and that’s what counts most in the end.
