THE 59 employees of the production department of Moreschi shoe factory in Vigevano they have accepted the proposed agreement for collective redundancy. The details of the agreement, which provides for a incentive of 4 thousand euros for each employee who leaves the company, they were illustrated on the morning of Friday 3 May 2024 by the trade unionists to the workers, who voted unanimously for acceptance.
Arrears and other allowances
The company also committed to pay all outstanding monthly payments by the end of May, while the TFR and other compensation will be paid in two tranches30% on June 30th and the remainder on July 14th.
The exodus incentive was agreed to 4 thousand euros afterwards negotiations between the company and the unionswho found a compromise between the 2 thousand euros proposed by the company and the 7,800 requested by the unions instead.
The agreement, officially ratified with the Lombardy Region, marks the closing of an important chapter in the history of the Vigevano footwear sector. In fact, the Moreschi shoe factory will no longer produce in Vigevano.
Leave Vigevano by September
As stated by Guido Scalfi, legal representative of the Hurleys SA fund, current owner of Moreschi, I am therefore dismissal letters have been issued for the 59 employeeswhile the 21 that remain they will work in another location.
