Castellammare – Bobbio: «I had to give up my candidacy, but I remain at the service of the city»
The former mayor in the field with the ”Popolo di Stabia” list. In 2013 he managed to intercept around 3400 votes.

«Due to this unconstitutional, illiberal, liberticidal rule, I had to, against my will, give up being the candidate for mayor of Castellammare di Stabia for the centre-right. I would certainly have triumphed and the city would once again have had the opportunity for rebirth to which it is entitled.” Thus the former mayor Luigi Bobbio who, referring to law 71 of 2022 which prevents magistrates from running for political office in the region in which they serve or have served in the last 3 years. And Bobbio is currently a magistrate at the court of Nocera Inferiore.

«I am, remain and will, however, always be at the service of my Castellammare and forever honored to have already been so». And in fact, the Bobbio-Popolo di Stabia list is part of the centre-right coalition. The objective is clearly to gain the consensus of many people from Stabia who still share his thoughts today. As happened already in 2013 when Bobbio, then outgoing mayor, ran for mayor with the civic list “A New City” collecting around 3400 votes. Votes that proved fatal to the centre-right mayoral candidate, Antonio Pentangelo, who lost the run-off to Nicola Cuomo of the PD.
