Accident on Sunday 5 May 2024 in the afternoon in via Mura di San Vitale, in front of the Archeology department. An American tourist driving a car with an automatic transmission crashed into the walls of the faculty. The accident appears to have been caused by the driver’s difficulty in using the car without a manual gearbox. Another person was also next to him. Both were taken to Ravenna hospital with minor injuries. The local police were on site and detected the accident.

Other interventions by the municipality followed one another during the day: around midday two non-EU citizens were identified because they were caught bivouacking in via Carducci, for which they were sanctioned. One of the two was also reported for not complying with the residence regulations.

On the previous night, however, a patrol was sent to a pub in via Piangipane following a report complaining of loud music and shouting. The checks are ongoing and could lead to sanctions for both loud music and shouting.
