Riccardo Cianchelli gold and silver in the Hammer and Disc, Angelo Carofano bronze in the 100Hs. The Regional Championship of companies in the Cadet category took place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May 2024 in the brand new Rieti facility, an event which saw the participation of all Lazio youth teams committed to acquiring the pass for the finals also scheduled in Rieti on 23/24 May. Also present with the men’s and women’s teams at the important competitive event were the people from Viterbo from Finass Assicurazioni Atletica Viterbo who, accompanied by the technicians Umberto Battistin, Linda Misuraca and Leonardo Bargagli, achieved good technical results and some podiums. Standing out among the cadets was the thrower Riccardo Cianchelli who took 1st place in the Martello with the measurement of 44.07m. and 2nd place in the discus with the measurement of 29.87m. both new personal bests. Angelo Carofano also did well, improving significantly in the 100Hs. running with the new personal best of 14″96 which allows him the 3rd place finish and 6th in the Triple race with 11.16m. Good points for the final result of the two teams were obtained by Matilde Casini in the Long and 80Hs., Matilde Bertini in the Alto and the Triple and by Caterina Zamboi, Andrea Forte, Davide Romano, Gianna Brachetti, Francesca Andreola, Valentina Medici, Margherita Pregagnoli, Emanuele Cerocchi, Lorenzo Paris, Michele Benedetti, Claudia Iacomelli, Sofia Nezha, Lucchetti Giammarco. The two 4x100m relays also did well. male composed by Cianchelli, Carofano, Cerocchi, Lucchetti and female with Nezha, Bertini, Zamboi, Casini. At the moment the Finass Cadets are in 6th place and perfectly in line for qualifying for the finals in Rieti while the Cadettes will have to complete their score by May 12th.
