Cesena beats Mantova with Corazza-Shpendi

Before the match the Cesena made the “Pasillo de Honor” against Mantova, winner of Group A. After a first half lacking in emotions, the Cesena unlocks the game in the second with Armor on penalty. After Debenedetti’s momentary equalizer, Shpendi closes it in injury time.

The first chance of the match belongs to Mantova in the 15th minute, with Mensah missing Bragantini’s assist, and Ciofi save on line. A minute later comes the reply from Cesena with Saber which turns out the cross of Donnarumma. During the first half Mantova had more possession of the ball, with little emotion on both sides.

At the start of the second half the Cesena starts again with two changes: Francesconi And Armor in the place of Saber And Kargbo. The second half begins along the lines of the first, with Mantova holding more of the ball. At 51′ Pieraccini he is good at thwarting a potential opportunity for the red and whites, while in the 55th minute of the second half, DeRose wins a free kick from 25 meters with Adam which forces Festa to push back into the corner. In the 60th minute, Redolfi fouled Corzza in the area: Juventus’ number 18 appears on the spot and gives them the lead Cesena. In the 65th minute, nice combination Shpendi-Berti but the roll of nine is too high. In the 72nd minute Bragantini manages to get in the shot, with Prestia clearing it for a corner. In the 83rd minute Monachello serves Debenedetti in the area, who manages to turn and beat Pisseri bringing the race back into balance. In injury time, the ball remains in the Mantova area, Shpendi he was the quickest to make it his own and score the goal that made it 2-1. The match isn’t over yet, because at the end Monachello then hits the crossbar Ciofi covers the output of Pisseri who makes it his own.
