ANCONA – Bcc of Ancona and Falconaraof the Iccrea Banca groupended 2023 with a profit of 2.45 million, in line with that of the previous year (above 2 million). In the first quarter of this year, we read in a note, the net result is very close to 900 thousand euros. Bcc of Ancona and Falconara last year it achieved the improvement targets set by the parent company Iccrea, as part of the Group’s internal evaluation system called EWS (Early Warning System). Since the birth of the cooperative group in 2019, we read, it is the first time that the Bcc of Ancona and Falconara has achieved the ‘A’ rating assigned by the group.
The assembly on Sunday 5 May at 9am, at the Hotel Federico II in Jesi, it will be called to approve the budget and will also have to express its opinion on the renewal of the board of directors made up of nine members. There are two voting lists. The one proposed by the outgoing board of directors (with president Sergio Cugini who did not stand for re-election) sees Camillo Catana, president of the order of accountants of the Doric capital, as the head of the list and candidate for the presidency. The opposing list, the ‘Pierlorenzi’ list, is also led by an accountant from the city: Giacomo Franguelli.
The conflict between shareholders, which already emerged three years ago due to the appointment of the board of directors, originates from the two “souls” of the bank, created in 2018 from the merger of two local cooperative banks, one from Ancona and the other from Falconara Marittima.
