Two very crowded, sold-out events, full of guests, food for thought, awareness and trust in man.
A theatrical reading introduced the two meetings
The Astra Theatre with the B55 Youth Center and the University, it increasingly becomes a reference, a public space, a place for meeting and sharing, a square for events.
For many years now, Federico Faggin, a prominent intellectual, physicist and inventor, successful entrepreneur, deals with man and his interaction with the environment, spirituality, conscience and awareness. The project started from him Artificial Intelligence Science Consciousness Happiness which saw the contribution of philosophers, psychiatrists, IT experts, lawyers, intellectuals, artists, free thinkers, simple citizens.
One year after the start of the project, Federico Faggin he returned to his city for the final meeting of a work coordinated by Paola Zocca of the Association ViEmozioneRete.
The two meetings will be introduced by the highly acclaimed theatrical show “WHAT DO YOU THINK IF YOU THINK“.
Inspired by Francesco Narmenni’s book “Conversations with Artificial Intelligence“, the show, embellished by the song EIAI by Andrea Moroni, transports the audience on a journey into the mysterious world of artificial intelligence, in a virtual world populated by funny humanoids and disoriented humans.
The protagonist of the story is Camillo, an elderly professor who has doubts and fears towards modern technology. However, thanks to the enthusiasm of Vanessa, one of his students, he is introduced to the world of EIAI, an artificial intelligence with a unique and unpredictable character. Camillo agrees to ask EIAI a series of questions, but the answers will not always be sensible and convincing, since EIAI can suffer from hallucinations and delusions.
The performance is inspired by the answers that are actually given to the Author by Artificial Intelligence.
Characters and performers:
Paride Frighetto as Camillo, Luisa Vigolo and Federica Canovese as EIAI, the Artificial Intelligence. Olga Minchella plays Vanessa, a fan of Elon Musk. The humanoid is played by Elia Vivian as Pepper, Liam Borella as the dog Pluto, the waiter Plato and Elon Musk. The songs “Eiai” and “Al confine dei confine” which enrich the performance are by Andrea Moroni, voice and guitar. The show goes beyond the traditional theatrical representation, involving humans, humanoids, musicians and robots on stage, to offer a unique and engaging experience.
Minds and Hearts compared
This was the title of the event which took place on two occasions, welcoming the Vicenza High Schools in the morning and the citizens in the evening.
Journalists Gian Marco Mancassola And Marco Milionithey conducted and animated the meetings with proven skill.
On stage, with Federico Faggin, Andrea Danieli And Vincenzo Balestra psychiatrists, Fabio Grigenti philosopher, Silvana Badaloni professor of the Faculty of Information Engineering, Giuseppe Vaciago lawyer, Francesco Broccayoung entrepreneur and expert.
Many questions and opinions were expressed by scholars and experts present in the room, by students and citizens, for a participatory, intense, colorful day.
Federico Faggin he expressed his thoughts and responded to everyone, generous as always, available for any discussion, receiving open applause.
Man and AI: a union for the common good
Artificial intelligenceso fascinating and problematic at the same time, was the driving force, the starting point, the pretext to reflect from various points of view, to delve deeper, to identify possible personal paths but above all to reiterate the centrality of man with respect to the machine and the need to continue ask yourself questions
L’artificial intelligence it can be an excellent tool, a help, a possibility, but it must be managed wisely by men who have the common good in mind and know how to make the best choices, with a constant democratic process that informs and involves citizens in the choices.
