In a note the group leader of Forza Italia in the city council Federico Milia expresses the need to reorganize the structure of the taxi service in the city and is now essential to guarantee the mobilization of tourists, the number of which is strongly increasing thanks to the stops of the national and international Ryanair routes towards the Strait airport. “The first step is to update the tariffs for fixed routes, which are now dated, so as to guarantee an efficient service. It is also necessary that taxi stands are set up in the main squares of the city: I am referring, for example, to Piazza Duomo or in front of the airport entrance, where today they are relegated to a corner, and in all those sites in the city of greater interest, as happens in all tourist cities in the world”, says councilor Milia.
“I will formally request the Lanucara Councilor for an urgent evaluation of these solutions, necessary for the efficiency of an essential service for a city that must increasingly establish itself as a decisive destination with a view to a tourism development plan”, concludes group leader Milia.
