FORLÌ. The reasons for the sentence with which the Sports Court of Appeal rejected Forlì’s complaint against the decision of the sports judge, who in turn had rejected the appeal presented by the Viale Roma club in relation to the Carpi-Forlì match, have been published ( 2-1) of last April 21st. Forlì was asking for the Emilians to be defeated for having irregularly deployed the player Tommaso Cecotti, who would not have correctly served the disqualification following the cancellation of the match against Pistoiese, a club then ousted from the championship . A request which, however, the judge of first instance deemed unfounded, consequently validating the result achieved on the field. Decision contested by the complainant, but confirmed by the Sports Court of Appeal, according to which «the principles of certainty and stability in the execution of sanctions cannot allow posthumous modifications of the effect of the player’s non-participation in a match due to subsequent measures (not judicial for the cancellation of the individual match, but rather administrative) excluding the opposing club from the championship and related ‘virtual’ regulation of the consequences on the ranking”. Now Forlì has a month to evaluate whether there are margins of the possibility of an appeal to the Coni Guarantee Board. In the meantime, the championship on the field ends tomorrow.
