The Alpine troops of Bottonaga celebrate theirs today fifty years of foundation, with the embrace of the whole city. First the flag raising, outside the new headquarters overlooking the Pescheto park, then with the parade along Via Corsica and Via Zara until reaching the San Giovanni Bosco church, accompanied by the notes of the Star of Alps Fanfare of Villanuova. Don Diego, the parish priest, then celebrated mass. Representing the municipal administration was councilor Valter Muchetti, who wore the tricolor sash for the occasion.
The group leader of the Bottonaga section, Roberto Cristani, did the honors during the official speeches, highlighting one aspect: in 50 years the Alpine troops of Bottonaga have gone from thirty to eighty, and praised two deans of the association: “ours” – understood as the black pens of our newspaper – Giancarlo Buizza and Massimo Cortesi. «The Alpine troops – declared Muchetti – represent an important garrison in the community, a landmark, for the values they transmit such as solidarity, friendship, being together and acting for the common good. The Nikolajewka School is an example of this.”
Towards the meeting in Vicenza
