Big party this evening at Cagliari on the occasion of the inauguration of the local section of Lecce Club Sardinia named after Pantaleo Raven, director of the technical area of the Giallorossi club. The new Lecce Club, affiliated to the Coordination Centre, was born on the initiative of many Salento residents residing on the island for work reasons. The president of Lecce Calcio, Saverio, was present at the inauguration ceremony this evening Sticchi Damianiaccompanied by Mrs. Marina D’Arpe, and with them also the sports director Stefano Trinchera. The event took place in a location by the sea, on the wonderful Poetto beach in Cagliari, in the presence of many people from Salento who live in Sardinia and who, despite the distance from their native land, always feel united and close thanks to the attachment to their favorite team and support for their Lecce.
The homage to Pantaleo Corvino is due to a particular reason: Vernole’s manager always remembers with great affection his past in the Arma Azzurra, which also includes the President, lieutenant Salvatore Palm treeand numerous members of the Section, who never fail to remind their younger colleagues that “Pantaleo, in addition to being the manager of the technical area of the team, is also a dear colleague”.
“The management of the Lecce Club-Sardinia – we read in a note – thanks the Coordination Centre, in particular the President Mario De Lorenzis for the great contribution given to the planning and creation of the first Sardinian section”. Present in Cagliari representing the Coordination Center, Eugenio Corrado.
