Fire at the nomad camp in the Scordovillo district in Lamezia Terme

A fire broke out in the afternoon near the nomad camp in the Scordovillo district, in Lamezia Terme near the Giovanni Paolo II hospital.

This is yet another fire in the Scordovillo district which affected piles of waste of various kinds (plastic material, tyres, carcasses of cars and household appliances, LPG bottles etc.) causing columns of intense smoke with enormous inconvenience for those who live close to the camp Roma and patients hospitalized in the John Paul II hospital.

The fire is currently extinguished thanks to the timely intervention of the Fire Brigade of the Catanzaro command, Lamezia Terme detachment.
Carabinieri on site for the relevant obligations. No injuries to people were reported.
