Tuscany’s wheels are whizzing by at the Acquacalda skating rink with the regional road championships which, in recent days, have seen Mens Sana Pattinaggio Corsa excel among the participating clubs.
Great event in Siena at the home of the Polisportiva Mens Sana 1871 where the green and white rollers became the protagonists of an amazing choral performance, winning the pass to take part in the next Italian road skating championships.
The first athletes of the Mens Sana Pattinaggio Corsa to take to the track were the very young and novice categories led by Erika Crociani: very young and novices competed in the 50 meters sprint and then, respectively, in the 150 and 200 meters sprint. The youngest members of the Mensan squadron then made their mark in the long races: 600 meters for the very young and 1000 for the rookies. Great commitment and great performances from all the young athletes who brought numerous regional titles and notable placings.
Subsequently, it was the turn of the major categories where the Mensanians, led by Laura Perinti and Giulia Soggiu, won 16 regional titles. The great result obtained at the Regional Championships confirms the good form of the green and whites who are now ready to leave for San Benedetto del Tronto, where the Italian Championships in the Pupils, Junior and Senior categories and Paterno D’Adda for the Boys and Boys 12 categories will take place.
