Slaps and bottle blows during the night in the center of Perugia caused fear among the people

Slaps and bottles – A violent brawl disturbed the historic center of Perugia, involving a group of young university students and some young people of Moroccan origin. The conflict broke out late yesterday evening near a well-known man bar located near Piazza IV Novembre and quickly spread to the Duomo, causing scenes of chaos and fear among passers-by.

The situation degenerated when, however reasons still under investigation by the police, slaps and bottle blows were exchanged between the two groups. The young people involved, visibly upset, chased each other along the streets of the historic centre, creating moments of tension and insecurity. Several witnesses watched the scene helplessly, while others tried to find refuge away from the tumult.

The images of the brawl were captured and spread through a video created by one of our readers. The young people chased each other from Via Calderini towards Via Bartolo, amplifying the seriousness of the accident. The altercation moved quickly, starting from the bar and reaching the Duomo, where the presence of numerous citizens and tourists made the event even more visible and alarming.

Two people attended the scene patrols of the police and a team of carabinieri, who worked to restore order and identify those responsible. The place where the brawl started is sadly known to the authorities for having been the scene of other disorders in the past, which raises questions about the management of safety in places where young people gather and the effectiveness of the preventive measures currently in place.
