The Cremona circuit is ready to welcome the Superbike – rossomotori.it

Work has been completed at the Cremona Circuit in view of the WorldSBK event from 20 to 22 September.

After completion of the works in circuit to obtain theapprovalCremona is finally ready to welcome the Superbike. The changes concerned the layout of the track, theasphalt and the structures reserved for the public. Among the news in view of the appointment with the world championship of production derivatives, the Cremona Circuit has also presented its own new logowhich better reflects what motorcycle racing is.

Here are the changes to the Cremona Circuit for the arrival of the Superbike

The works, which began in January and concluded in March, have made the Cremona circuit a place capable of hosting an important event such as a Round of Superbike World Championship. Among the various changes made to the track we find some changes to the last sectorconcentrated in turns 11, 12 and 13. The track then was resurfaced with high quality materials that can always guarantee durability excellent condition of the track. At the length of the runway they were approximately 90 meters addedfor a total of 3768 meters, with the aim of increasing the possibility of battles and competitive dynamics.

To meet the ever-increasing public of the Superbike World Championship, in Cremona they made sure to build new stands and public areas to accommodate as many enthusiasts as possible. It is currently estimated that the facility can accommodate approximately 20,000 people. In this sense, a new entrance for vehicles, separate from the pedestrian one. This with the aim of making entry and exit from the circuit more convenient and safe. Finally, some works were made modernization of structures to be able to host the Race Direction and facilitate the staff in managing the event. As regards the new logo, this represents the main characteristics of motorbike riding: acceleration, cornering and braking. Here are the words of CEO of the Cremona circuit Alessandro Canevarolo regarding the changes made, as reported by WorldSBK.com:

“We are excited to introduce this to the world new logo which distinguishes us by our proximity to peopleto the territoryat motorcycle and to motorsport lovers. As inspiration we chose one of the most iconic curves on the circuit, turn 10, graphically applying all those characteristics that our motorcyclists know to the logo. The colors: red and dark gray represent the passion and the territory of Cremona”.

Cremona Circuit: all the appointments

In addition to the highly anticipated race weekend of WorldSBK which will be held from 20 to 22 Septemberthe circuit will also host the second round of MotoEstate trophy between 18 and 19 May. Furthermore, in the days 23 and 24 Maysome Superbike teams will carry out tests track tests to become familiar with the new route and acquire as much data as possible.
