Only on Tuesday 23 April, two days before Liberation Day, the headquarters of Rifondazione Comunista in Corso Garibaldi in Vigevano had also been daubed with fascist writing.

During yesterday morning, Friday 3 May 2024the Pavia police forces carried out a site inspection thorough in Piazza Ducale in Vigevano trying to collect evidence and clues that could lead to the perpetrators of a vile act. The surveillance cameras they could prove to be a valuable ally in the hunt for those responsible.

The episode occurred outside a bar of the square in the night between Thursday and Friday. Upon their arrival, the owners found the coffee tables and The outdoor umbrellas daubed with lots of swastikas, symbol of the nefarious fascist and Nazi past. The owners of the place did not hesitate and immediately took action called the police intervened in the morning.

Once they arrived on site, the officers verified the origin of the fascist symbols. They were all made with a black marker. They then collected all the images taken from the video surveillance cameras in the area in order to more easily identify those responsible for this terrible act of vandalism which offends the values of democracy and anti-fascism on which our Republic is based.
