CIVITA CASTELLANA Mayor Giampieri: «The 2024 edition offers a program full of events»

CIVITA CASTELLANA is ready for a new journey back in time, taking the city back to the times of the splendor of the Borgias.

The Ludi Borgiani return from 10 to 19 May, an event now in its twelfth edition which includes historical re-enactments with period costumes, tournaments, parades, conferences, banquets and open taverns in the historic centre.

The event is among the most representative events that are organized every year in Civita Castellana and brings together all citizens, from the oldest to the youngest. «The 2024 edition offers a program full of events – explains the mayor Luca Giampieri –, enhanced this year also by the recent entry of Civita Castellana into the network of Italian medieval cities. The contribution of the associations, the soul of the shows and all the activities of the Ludi Borgiani, will be fundamental.”

«This year too we will certainly experience beautiful moments of aggregation and conviviality, aimed at rediscovering our history and our rich traditions – states the entertainment councilor Simonetta Coletta -. The historical re-enactments of the Ludi attract visitors to our country and guarantee attraction and entertainment, promoting knowledge of our past through performances by companies of high-level artists. The evenings will then be enlivened by taverns and inns where, in the historic center, you can taste and enjoy our typical dishes in company.”

«Thanks go to Mayor Giampieri and the entire municipal administration – he concludes -, to the coordinator of the Ludi Cristiana Pistola, to all the associations and volunteers who are working for the success of the event».
