Benevento, Mastella signs the ordinance: «Long Saturday Matarazzo, intolerable degradation»

Following the site inspection carried out by the municipal police at the construction site area for extraordinary maintenance works aimed at the structural and functional restoration of the protection works of the left bank of the Sabato river, in the section «Long Saturday don Emilio Matarazzo»aorder union which requires the contracting authority and the company carrying out the work to immediately clean and make the construction site areas safe because they “constitute a danger to health and the environment, as well as to public safety”. The contracting authority and the company carrying out the works must carry out the requested operations ad horas, and in any case within 7 days of notification of the order.

Meanwhile, in a note, the mayor Clemente Mastella defines it as «intolerable that in the Lungosabato Matarazzo area a construction site, with works commissioned by the Board of Public Works, has been abandoned to itself and has become an area of ​​decay for a year or more now. For this reason I signed an ordinance to have the area cleaned and made safe also following the reasonable complaints of the residents. We will no longer accept this state of affairs in that area.”
