BAGNOLO DI PO (Rovigo) – The repression carried out by the Forestry Carabinieri against the phenomenon of fish poaching does not stop.
This time the soldiers of the Carabinieri Forestry Group of Rovigo managed to intervene directly on the fishing site where have ascertained the use of at least 200 meters of trammel nets in a watercourse in the municipality of Bagnolo di Po.
The soldiers on patrol duty from the beginning of the fishing trip remained under observation until the end of the operations, thus having the opportunity to ascertain that more subjects of Serbian origin used fishing tools that were not permitted and a higher number of fishing rods than permitted.
“Professional” fishermen were challenged ssanctions for administrative violations referred to in regional law 19/98 governed by regional regulation for fishing and aquaculture n. 1/2023, including failure to pay for sport fishing.
Given the illicit conduct that continues to be detected, the repression services in this area will certainly be strengthened in the near future, also with the intervention of the Soarda – Anti-poaching and Animal Crime Operational Section (this is a specialized department of the Carabinieri), where particularly specialized soldiers operate in the containment of the phenomenon.
