(LaPresse) The Guardia di Finanza of Vicenza with the support of agents of the Local Police of Vicenza, assisted by the canine unit of the yellow flames and the helicopter of the Air Section of the Guardia di Finanza of Venice, found and seized over 3.3 kg of marijuana. The operation was carried out while inside an apartment, from which the strong smell of marijuana was emanating, a woman was busy packaging doses of the narcotic substance which would probably have been destined for the city market of Campo Marzio and the areas of the historic centre. The drugs were contained either in large bags, weighing from 800 grams to over a kilo, or already divided into doses of around 15 grams, ready to be distributed in the local drug dealing circuit. Furthermore, the military seized approximately 2,200 euros in cash, presumably proceeds from the drug dealing activity, as well as various materials useful for packaging the narcotic. A man of Nigerian origin has been arrested for trafficking and possession of narcotic substances.
