ANCONA – Yesterday afternoon the police intervened in the small square of Portonovo following a report of a man bitten by a dog.

Once the police arrived on site, they made contact with the injured person, an Italian man of around 50 years of age, who reported that he had been injured while trying to separate two dogs that had engaged in a fight. In particular, the man reported that, while walking in the area with his dog, he came across a couple with a large dog without a leash in tow. The two dogs immediately came into contact and started fighting, which is why the fifty-year-old decided to get between them to try to separate them and, for this reason, the large dog attacked him with a bite on his arm which fortunately only caused him one bite. slight injury.

The police called veterinary medical personnel to the scene who ascertained, using a microchip, the ownership of the two dogs.

They also took steps to reassure the parties who had become agitated and animated in the meantime and the fifty-year-old refused the request for medical attention.
