Latina, 3 May 2024 – Quarrel ended in blood: it happened in Latina, on the evening of Wednesday 1st May: the agents of the Flying Squad, in collaboration with their colleagues in Rome, arrested on their own initiative a crime suspect against a 31-year-old Italian, seriously suspected of having younted murder committed against the owner of a restaurant of Foce Verde.
The preliminary investigation activity made it possible to ascertain how in the late afternoon the victim, following aan argument broke out for trivial reasons with a customerhas been hit with a sharp weapon which caused a deep wound to her abdomen and, for this reason, was urgently transported to the Santa Maria Goretti hospital in Latina, where she is still hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
The investigations carried out on the car in which the subject left allowed us to focus attention on a 31 year old Italian resident in Rome, later recognized during the photographic identification carried out by some witnesses present at the time of the crime. The investigators, immediately started looking for the suspect, first accessing his home without finding himtracking him down shortly afterwards in a nearby street with the shoes worn at the time of the crime on his feet. The subsequent house search also made it possible to find the trousers and shirt immortalized by the restaurant’s video surveillance cameras, while two towels soaked in presumably blood were found inside the car used for the escape.
Based on the information collected, therefore, the agents proceeded on their own initiative the 31-year-old was arrested and sent to prison at the same timetransmitting the documents to the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rome for subsequent evaluations regarding the validation of the provision.
