Confartigianato La Spezia: Rixi meets the top management. Then comparison with rental companies with driver

The Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Hon. Edoardo Rixi, together with Sen. Stefania Pucciarelli and municipal councilor Lorenzo Viviani, met with the President of Confartigianato Paolo Figoli and the director Giuseppe Menchelli with some members of the executive council.

After the visit to the headquarters in via Fontevivo and the meeting with the heads of the categories for an exchange of views on the main themes of the economic and political agenda, the Deputy Minister had a technical discussion with a delegation of rental companies with driver from the province of Spezia to discuss the adoption of the implementing decrees relating to Law 11 February 2019 n. 12 which amended the framework law of 15 January 1992, n. 21 for the transport of people.

“Confartigianato, unlike other acronyms – explained President Paolo Figoli in the introduction – is following the work of the technical table of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, obtaining significant changes. There remain some concerns about the service sheet because changes often occur at work, such as a canceled or rescheduled flight, a forced stop between one service and another”. Deputy Minister Rixi has collected the proposals which, for the sector, can respond to the real needs regarding the electronic service sheet, sanctions and privacy.

“We can only be satisfied – adds Nicola Carozza, Confartigianato category manager – for listening to the Deputy Minister, the rental service in the Italian provinces does not experience the problems of large metropolitan cities. The category agrees with curbing the multinationals of passenger transport and with the establishment of an electronic register to keep track of existing authorizations but is against an excessive bureaucratisation of the service which would make it impossible”. The local entrepreneurs, followed by the trade unions of Confartigianato, who operate mainly in the cruise, tourism, events and nautical companies sectors, were satisfied with the meeting.
