The commentary in the Dinamo Sassari clubhouse by Massimo Spanohistoric director of Torreson the eve of the first match of his team’s final series against the Sennori in Serie C island. Below is his point about the entire championship and the delicate challenge against the Sennoresi of the former Dinamo Jirí Hubálek.

On the finish line

“We also unexpectedly managed to confirm ourselves in the final for the second consecutive year. This year we reached the final with an even younger team than last year, with a group that is almost 20 years old. This signals the good moment of the Dinamo Sassari youth sector, with Dinamo 2000 also having reached the playoffs. Against Ferrini it was an incredible series, we beat the favorites and we did it with very young players who were still inexperienced in this type of match. We reap the fruits of many years of work.”

Budget on the youth sector

“Torres plans to be the outlet for the youth sector in a senior championship, we see it as the final path of work on the youth sector. In recent years with Next Gen against realities that are very important compared to ours, it has really allowed our kids to improve. Every year from all over Sardinia there are kids who push to come to us and do the Next Gen. We hope in the future to be able to get to the Final Eight, this year we didn’t manage to do so just because we lost on the last possession. Living an organization that knows about LBA is important to train our kids. They live in a world far from the regional one and this also helps the very young mentally to have new stimuli.”

Comparisons between last year and this year

“I can’t understand if we are stronger this year or last year, but this year we are playing a best of 5 and it could be even more complicated for us. And then we objectively find a very strong Sennori, regardless of her age. There is also Merella as well as Cordedda and Hubalek. However, we don’t leave defeated and we have some very enthusiastic boys. We hope to go beyond predictions and play on the light-heartedness given by age. Let’s play three good games and see how it ends.”
