L’AQUILA – The curtain is already ready to rise on the initiative “Friday downtown”. In recent days the municipal council approved the act of direction for the implementation of the procedures aimed at the realization of the event promoted by the municipal administration dedicated, mainly, to children and young people and their parents.
“The schedule of appointments will be announced shortly. – explained the mayor of L’Aquila, Pierluigi Biondi – This year, compared to the past, we will start earlier with a program that will take place in the months of May and June. A sort of prologue to the events of the L’Aquila summer, as usual characterized by the exhibition of the Cantieri dell’Immaginario, open-air cinema, Perdonanza Celestiniana and jazz festival”.
“Since the first edition the “Friday downtown” have attracted significant and growing interest both for the ever-varied offer proposed for the entertainment of the little ones and for the opportunity to experience and rediscover the heart of the city through games and entertainment. The forced stop linked to the pandemic has not attenuated our community’s desire for sociality and aggregation and this project is aimed at encouraging and supporting it, in a stimulating way for children and, certainly, for the parents themselves”.
