The electoral campaign for the administrative elections in Mazara del Vallo comes to life. The committees of the three mayoral candidates will be inaugurated next weekend: Salvatore Quinci, Vita Ippolito and Nicola Cristaldi. In chronological order, the mayoral candidate Vita Ippolito will open the dance and will inaugurate her committee located in c / so Armando Diaz n.36 / 38 on Saturday 4 May at 7 pm. Following this, at 8pm, the already twice mayor Nicola Cristaldi will present his candidates for the municipal council in his electoral committee in via Castelvetrano n.36G (formerly Sisa).

Sunday 5 May will be the turn of the current mayor Salvatore Quinci who will inaugurate his committee at 6 pm in via Val di Mazara n.124 (same location as the previous administrative meetings) and will present his candidates to the city council. There is no shortage of news regarding the lists that will support the candidates for the mayor’s seat; to date all three coalitions are working to define the composition of the lists which will have to be officially presented from 10 May to 15 May (12pm).

Further mergers are taking place, therefore the number of lists participating in the electoral “kermesse” are no longer 16 but 14. Salvatore Quinci will be supported by five lists: “Fratelli d’Italia”, “Osservatorio Politico”, “Partecipazione Politica” and “Salvatore Quinci Sindaco” and then from the “Libertà” list (which brings together the “South Call North” movement of Cateno De Luca and the civic groups “Mazara Faro del Mediterraneo”, “Movimento Diritto alla Città”).

Even the lawyer. Vita Ippolito will be supported by five lists: “Forza Italia”, “DC”, “Mpa-La Forza dei Fatti”, “Più Vita per Mazara” and by the “Energia Popolare”-“UdC” list. Nicola Cristaldi is supported by four lists: “Futurists”, “Pride and Future”, “Cristaldi Mayor” and “Democratic Voices”. Today there are 35 days until Election Day, we will vote for the administrative elections, at the same time as the European elections, on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June. The voting operations (both for the European and the administrative elections) will take place on Saturday 8 June, from 3pm to 11pm, and on Sunday 9 June from 7am to 11pm and, naturally only for the administrative elections, in In the event of a second round of voting, voting will return on Sunday 23 June, from 7am to 11pm and on Monday 24 June from 7am to 3pm.

What began a few months ago is an electoral campaign that sees popular involvement through meetings and messages conveyed through social media; an event that increasingly takes on the characteristics of a “social-pop” phenomenon (in the cover photo the three candidates for mayor in the pop-art version created by Gianni Quinci “Mandrake”). Therefore there is great excitement in the city, the candidates for the next municipal council (there are still 24 seats available) are looking for votes, for themselves and (which is not to be taken for granted) for the relevant mayoral candidates.
