Corigliano-Rossano. Flavio Stasi: “The real holes are in the past: the Court of Auditors says so”

by Flavio Stasi, mayor of Corigliano-Rossano

Reading the many ranting press releases of recent days, which are multiplying in view of the elections, it is clear that the only hole (black, like the one in the photo) that exists is that of competence.
In this statement from the deputy mayor (https://www.comunecoriglianorossano.eu/…/il-fatto…/) every clarification is provided, but the political meaning can be summarized in 2 points.

1. There is no budget hole, on the contrary: the Financial Sector is not only proceeding to pay the inherited unpaid bills, but has also proceeded to cover the unpredictable increase in energy costs last year (almost everyone’s problem the Municipalities) on the current financial year, with favorable jurisprudence. The Administration had already decided to follow the auditors’ instructions also because in this way resources can be freed up, i.e. the exact opposite of what our highly trained counterparts say.
2. Calling the Court of Auditors into question is embarrassing, since the only ones to have been condemned by the accounting judiciary in recent years are precisely those who are running against the current administration.

Furthermore, we have understood that from Germaneto to Corigliano-Rossano there is little familiarity with administrative procedures (such as urban planning compliance and service conferences) for a long time.
Fortunately, the city is administered by an attentive, competent and hard-working ruling class who will continue to heal the real holes of the past while improving the services and quality of life of our city.
