In Agrigento in Villaseta, someone snuck into a fruit and vegetable shop in via Caduti di Marzabotto, taking a sum of money. The incident happened during the night hours between 29 and 30 April while the business was closed. From a brief reconstruction, unknown thieves broke into the front door and managed to access the interior of the premises. They rummaged everywhere, and eventually found and took away the money contained in the cash register. The raid was discovered the next morning by the owner during the shop’s opening time. He immediately raised the alarm on 112, then went to the carabinieri barracks at the Villaseta station, where he formalized the complaint against unknown persons for the hypothesis of the crime of theft. The affected area is covered by video surveillance systems. And the videos would have already been acquired by the military personnel who, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Agrigento, are carrying out the investigative activity.
