Villa Saccalthe historic manor house in Via Gramsci of over 3 thousand square meters which has been owned by the Municipality of Rescaldina since 2010, “protagonist” of a report on the Wednesday 1st May episode of “Fuori dal Coro”, a program broadcast by Mediaset and hosted by Mario Giordano. At the center of the segment of the broadcast broadcast on Rete 4 the illegal occupation of the villawhich already ended up on the benches of the city council a few weeks ago.
Villa Saccal in Rescaldina occupied illegally, the centre-right: “Non-existent interventions in five years”
For years now the former manor house has been “inhabited” by a former citizen of Rescaldina, as was explained in the council chamber. It is an occupation that arises “from a social case”, the administration explained in the city council, that is, from an eviction measure that had affected the man’s family unit eight years earlier.
Then the family was taken over the administration and in the emergency it had been placed in the former gym in via Tintorettoa place that was supposed to be returned in August 2011: the return, however, had not taken place, just as it had not even taken place by the second set deadline, i.e. November of the same year, and from there the eviction in January 2012 with closure of the premises. Even so, however, the goal had not been achieved, so much so that at the end of October of the same year the family unit had returned to the former gymnasium and illegal occupation – it is not known whether by the entire family or only by the individual who currently occupies Villa Saccal – had continued until January 2015when the eviction was ordered again and carried out between January and February of the following year.
From there until 2018, certain traces of the family unit were lostwho according to the information in Piazza Chiesa’s possession would have stayed in Southern Italy, only to find the current occupant of Villa Saccal in April 2019 right in via Gramsci. At that point, however, the man, having been removed from the municipal registry, could no longer be taken care of by social services. On the occasion of a clearing of the property with closure of accesses except for any inspections, however, the municipality had taken note of a request for the issuance of a residence permit and the opening of a commercial position, or an active VAT number in the name of the subject. Closing the accesses, however, did not solve the problem, so much so that the occupation continued.
The solution proposed in the city council by the outgoing majority was focused on the future redevelopment of the property and on the resolution of “a critical issue that arises from a social and human point of view”: solution contested, however, in the chamber by the centre-right and last night also on the screens of Rete 4.
