Vercelli hosted the annual event. There were also eight bishops and the rectors of the seminaries

The Piedmont Seminarians’ Day was held in Vercelli on Thursday 2 May. The participants met at 9 in the seminary, where the recitation of the middle hour followed in the chapel. Subsequently, they were offered a tourist visit to admire the cathedral, the Cathedral Treasure Museum and the Archbishop’s Art Gallery. At 11.45 the Archbishop Msgr. Marco Arnolfo presided over the Eucharistic celebration in the cathedral. After lunch in the seminary, the day continued with a sporting moment: a football match at the Sacred Heart Institute or, alternatively, with a visit to the artistic beauties of the city from Piazza Cavour, to the Synagogue, to San Cristoforo and to the Basilica of St. Andrew. Closing at 5pm with vespers in S. Andrea. «A hundred or so seminarians were present, accompanied by eight bishops, in addition to the archbishop Msgr. Arnolfo and the rectors of the Piedmontese seminaries” explains the vicar general of the diocese Msgr. Stefano Bedello.
