Foligno, arrested by the Tunisian Carabinieri caught with drugs

Foligno, 3 May 2024 – The Carabinieri of the Operational Section of the Foligno Company, during a territorial control service, arrested a 33-year-old man of Tunisian origins in flagrante delicto for the hypothesis of the crime of drug dealing narcotic substances.

The soldiers, while passing near the cemetery car park in via Flaminia Vecchia, noticed the man in a suspicious attitude and subjected him to a personal search.

On his person the operatives found two wraps of heroin weighing 1.2 g, four wraps of cocaine weighing a total of 1.5 g and cash for a total amount of 218 euros in banknotes of various denominations, believed to be proceeds of the activity illicit.

At the end of the operations the individual was arrested for the aforementioned crime and, as ordered by the Court of Spoleto, was sentenced to imprisonment for 5 months and 20 days and a fine of 600 euros, following the validation occurred the following day by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations.

The material and narcotics found were seized.

The subject, at the current stage of the investigation, is presumed innocent.
