Two Moroccan brothers arrested in Terni: drugs found in the house
On a quiet Tuesday morning in Terni, the Carabinieri of the Investigation Unit of the Command Provincial carried out an operation that led to the arrest of two brothers of origin Moroccan. The two, both 25 and 22 years old irregular on the national territory and with criminal records, were arrested following a report from a citizen regarding a possible drug dealing ring.
The soldiers, responding to the report, stationed themselves near the residence of the two brothers, located in a residence in the center of Terni. Upon the two’s return to the house, the Carabinieri proceeded to arrest and identify the brothers, subjecting them to a personal search and subsequently extending the search to their home.
During the operation, the Brother major attempted to escape, striking with elbows and kicked two soldiers, causing them minor injuries, before being stopped. The younger brother also resisted, trying to hit the soldiers with punches and kicks, before being neutralized.
Inside the house, the Carabinieri found 22 grams of cocaine and just over 5 grams of hashish, as well as cutting substance and material for packaging the doses. The older brother took over responsibility of possession of drugs, being therefore arrested for possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing, resistance and injury to public official. The younger brother was arrested for resisting the entry of the military.
Both brothers were placed under house arrest awaiting the immediate trial. At the end of the hearing, the Judge decided on the obligation to mansion in the province of Terni and presentation daily to the judicial police for the older brother, while for the younger brother the obligation to report to the police was ordered judicial. This episode underlines the importance of the work carried out by the Carabinieri in combating illicit drug trafficking, ensuring safety and legality in our community.
