There is a link, now, between Alessandro Robecchi and Villadossola. The writer-journalist and television author, guest on the last day of ”La Fabbrica di Carta” with his book ”Pisces small”, linked his name to the Ossola city precisely on the occasion of April 25th, when on his social pages read the letter from Giuseppe Bianchetti, one of those shot by the Nazi-fascists in Novara. Bianchetti, a stranger to the partisan movement, was arrested after taking a wounded German soldier to the dressing station: the soldier he had helped was accused.

The speech on the Resistance on the occasion of April 25th this year – which can be found on You Tube – sees Robecchi reading the very letter that Bianchetti wrote on a piece of makeshift paper a few hours before being killed. ”Among these letters – says Robecchi –I adopted one, that of Giuseppe Bianchetti, who was 34 years old in 1934. He was a worker who was sentenced to death by the German court and shot in Novara on 9 February 1944 ”.

Robecchi also confessed to having contacted Bianchetti’s niece and then to having visited Giuseppe’s grave at the Villadossola cemetery.

The Bookshop La Pagina of Villadossola, in the meeting with Robecchi, wanted to give the writer Carlo Squizzi’s book ”8 November 43” dedicated precisely to the popular insurrection of the city.
