The artist Isa Foglia exhibits the exhibition Nymphae – MolfettaLive.it

A new art exhibition in Molfetta, by the artist Isa Foglia, is culturally enriching our city these days. The exhibition project is already underway at the Church of Death, from Saturday 27 April and will end on Tuesday 7 May. The opening hours are from Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 1pm and from 6pm to 9pm.

Foglia, born in Bari in 1968, obtained her diploma from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. She currently lives and works in Molfetta where she has exhibited her works in various personal and collective exhibitions and her works have been published in various magazines in the sector.

In this exhibition, entitled Nymphae, there are works from both 2023 and 2024 and attention is paid to a very particular landscape.
There is no wild nature present, but there is particular attention to a nature tamed by man. This concept can be found in the design of the garden where the water lily, a type of aquatic plant belonging to the Nymphaea family, grows in shallow and stagnant waters and sinks its roots into the bottom.

Furthermore, with his latest creations, the artist brings to the attention of visitors the “Pandora’s Box”, which contains within it countless thousand-year-old artistic and literary quotes on the relationship between man and nature.

An art with infinite interpretations of reality is thus proposed to our vision and this leads to reflections using poor means and simple materials, which in his art are magnificently sublimated for great stories.

After this description which contains only a small part of the story that Isa Foglia tells through her paintings, she would be happy to invite citizens to visit her exhibition project, to admire her works and invite them to dwell on the relationship that binds man to nature.
